There are MILLIONS of christmas lights here in Vigo. Every night thousands of people are up and down the streets admiring them. There are street markets and vendors selling all kinds of things and foods from places all over the world. There is music and people playing all types of instruments (guitars, violins, bagpipes) I've seen break dancing, magicians, opera singers, those people that paint themselves to look like statues and just about anything else that people do on the street for money. I've seen santa, the grinch, a giant gorilla (not quite sure why on that one) There's a carousel and a ferris wheel and a huge train that rides all through the street taking people on tours of the lights. And the other day there was a gang of probably 1000 motorcyclists all dressed up as santa riding down the road. If you cant tell by now, they really do love their Christmas here. I'm fillled with the Christmas spirit every time I leave my apartment, so I think that God knows me so perfectly!!

Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Feliz Natal, Bo Nadal
Hola a todos!! Feliz Navidad! 🎄😚
I'm alive, and so bad at writing emails! So sorry!
Here's a lil update of life here in the veegs...
-The title of my email is the 4 languages that I hear every day here. English, Spainish, Portuguese, and Gallego. It's funny that the people here all speak different languages but somehow we can all still understand each other (welll más o menos. I have to seriously lock in whenever someone tries talking to me in Portuguese)
-I hit 6 months a couple of weeks ago! Cómoooo? Kinda crazy that next year I'll be home again with my family!
-My area is still tough but I've learned and grown soo much this transfer! And even though it feels like everyone is either not interested, or they act interested but they really aren't (which is so much worse) I've worked really hard and I've planted tons of seeds! I've had to learn that every effort counts, even when sometimes we don't reap what we sow! I've put so much trust into the Lord and he has truly carried me. I know that God's love for his children is ever-growing (even the cranky Spaniards that shake their little heads at me like they own the place) and one day all of their hearts will be open to this gospel whether in this life or the next!
OKAY now some christmas stuff! My favorite holiday!!! 🎅
It's hard not being with my family for the holidays, but here is how Christmas looks for me this year...
Last night we had a dinner with the CUTEST couple. The wife only speaks Portuguese but no pasa nada because after last night I'm practically fluent (Just kidding, would've been real nice to have kyson & macie with me!) They prepared an amazing dinner, spiritual thought, and game for us and 4 other missionaries. We danced and sang and they even bought us all gifts. It was so much fun. I'm incredibly thankful for the members who recognize that we are far away from home during the holidays, and make us feel at home with them.
Even though all of these things are so fun and cool and beautiful, I've also been able to recognize how lucky I am to be spending christmas by sharing what christmas is all about. I only have one christmas on my mission so spending it in God's service, doing the most important work on this earth is so so special!!! I'm so thankful for my Savior. He is truly everything that I am and strive to be. I'm so blessed to be able to take this time to really appreciate him and recognize the effect that his birth had on our lives. He is my best friend and I know that he knows and loves each of us perfectly!
You are all so amazing! I hope you guys have the BEST day! Squeeze your families tight for me since I can't be with mine this year. Feliz Navidad y les quiero muchísimo!!! 🫶🎁❤️
