Vilmary 🌊

Hi everyone!! This week was harder than lots but there was also so many little moments of joy. I know that God takes care of me in momentos difíciles!!

THE highlight:
- I DROVE A CAR!!! After 9 months! If you know me you know that I LOVE driving, so I was so happy. Except for mission cars are dumb because if you go literally 1mph over the speed limit some lady comes on the speaker and says "check your speed" and if you tap on the break a little to hard she says "aggressive driving". Takes away the fun fr. Also good ol Spaniards tail me to no end and then when they get the chance to speed up and pass me they wave their hands at me, shake their heads at me, lo que sea. Sorry cranky Spaniards, I promise I would speed a lil if I could!

My new companions are Hermana Ortiz and Hermana Addington. They are both from California and I think it's going to be a good transfer with a lot of growth!

Vilmary got baptized!!! 🌊
I am so beyond proud of this woman guys. She has grown soo much. Who knew that someone who we met a month ago, who doesn't even speak my native language, could have such a special place in my heart. Guau I just love her!!

Pensamiento espiritual:
This whole week I've been superrr stressed! There's been so much going on, I felt like I was planning a whole baptism alone and I just wanted everything to be perfect. When everything didn't go as I hoped it would, I was sad and I thought that Vilmary would be sad too. But she wasn't! In fact, I've never seen her so happy before. She came out of that font with the biggest smile on her face saying "I feel different!" I learned this week that I can't make everything perfect on my own, but in the imperfect moments, God picks up the pieces and makes up the rest. The spirit is so powerful and can take any situation and turn it into something so beautiful. I'm continuing to learn every day that I need to put my full trust in God, because he always delivers!!

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Have a gooood week! Les quiero muchísimo! Chao chao! ❤️‍🔥

The trigo lives on

Hi guys!!
These past couple of weeks have been super good! Here's a quick update...

I went on exchanges with my BEST FRIEND ROB!! We just can't stay away from each other and I'm not complaining. It was soo much fun but also weird to be "companions" with her again because I felt like I was back in my training hahaha

We recieved transfer news on Saturday and I'm staying here in Vigo and getting 2 new companions!! The trio lives on. We also are getting a carrrrr!! So excited to work hard this transfer and continue seeing miracles in these blessed areas!

We currently have 3 people on date. Our sweet friend Vilmary who we are hoping will get baptized this Saturday, and a couple named Alejandro and Yuve who I found on the street a couple of months back. They are all AMAZING and have so much love for this church and gospel!!! I love them and I am so proud of them all!!

Heres my quick spiritual thought ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
8 And now, behold, I will testify unto you of myself that these things are true. Behold, I say unto you, that I do know that Christ shall come among the children of men, to take upon him the transgressions of his people, and that he shall atone for the sins of the world; for the Lord God hath spoken it.
9 For it is expedient that an atonement should be made; for according to the great plan of the Eternal God there must be an atonement made, or else all mankind must unavoidably perish; yea, all are hardened; yea, all are fallen and are lost, and must perish except it be through the atonement which it is expedient should be made.

As humans, we are undoubtedly imperfect. And there is nothing that we can do to avoid it or run away from it. But Jesus Christ LOVES us. And because he loves us he sacrificed his perfect self, so that we can be made perfect. He suffered every human emotion and pain possible so that we can be cleansed, forgiven, saved, and so that we can return to live with him and our Heavenly Father again. That would not be possible without his sacrifice. Before my mission I don't think I really recognized the importance of Christs atonement but when you think about it, it really is our only way home. It is the door to endless blessings, happiness, peace. We are so lucky to have someone who loves us so much, that he was willing to lay down his life for us!!!

Never forget how much they love YOU specifically. The gates of heaven are opened to all who believe in Jesus Christ!! You are all amazing! If you have some time today, send me an email & tell me whats up!!
Les quiero muchísimo!! 😚😚

Ya febrero?!

HI GUYS I'm gonna go really quick because I'm everywhere doing everything these days but I REALLY wanted to write an email so here are some little milagros from the week!!

-We found this LIT peruvian guy from facebook who's a MEMBER but hasn't been to church since living here and he asked us to teach his wife and kids who aren't members!!!
-We put our sweet friend Vilmary on date!!! I told her that we've been praying for her and we think she's ready to be baptized and all she said was "I can! I can! I want to! When would it be? I can in the morning!" She's so amazing! She's getting baptized on February 15th and currently doesn't even have half of the lessons but we are going to work so hard this week to get her ready!!! Everyone pray for her please!!
-We had zone conference and it was so super good!!! I swear it gets better and better every transfer. We have the wisest mission president and best leaders

Those are the biggest things that happened these past 2 weeks but guys we have so many amazing friends who are so so so close!!! I just wanna put them all on date but unfortunately Satan is getting in our way and keeping them from meeting with us. Good thing God is so much more powerful, I have so much faith in all of them!

I'm trying to finish the Book of Mormon by my birthday. This week I read in Alma 23 and here are some scriptures that I really loved!!
5 And thousands were brought to the knowledge of the Lord, yea, thousands were brought to believe in the traditions of the Nephites; and they were taught the records and prophecies which were handed down even to the present time.
6 And as sure as the Lord liveth, so sure as many as believed, or as many as were brought to the knowledge of the truth, through the preaching of Ammon and his brethren, according to the spirit of revelation and of prophecy, and the power of God working miracles in them—yea, I say unto you, as the Lord liveth, as many of the Lamanites as believed in their preaching, and were converted unto the Lord, never did fall away.
7 For they became a righteous people; they did lay down the weapons of their rebellion, that they did not fight against God any more, neither against any of their brethren.

I hope you're all doing so amazing! Have the best week. Les quiero muchísimo! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
